Photos: Kano traders offer "dangerous" prayers against their state governor over proposed plans to demolish and renovate their market

Some traders in Kano state yesterday gathered to offer a Special prayer "AL-Qunut" on the Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, on his proposed demolition and renovation of the Kantin Kwari Market. The state government plans to demolish the market and rebuild it to standard but apparently the traders are not happy with this decision. Some of them argue that the demolision in this recession is unwise as it would leave them with no source of income. More photos after the cut.

Kevin Hart tops Forbes's List of the highest-paid comedians with $87.5 million

Kevin Hart, 37, has dethroned Jerry Seinfeld as the highest paid comedian, with his earnings of $87.5 Million. According to Forbes, Between June 2015 and June 2016, Kevin Hart made $87.5 million - over $30 million more than longtime earnings leader Jerry Seinfeld, who made $43.5 million.

Combined, the world’s 10 highest-paid comedians made $233.5 million over Forbes' scoring period, prior to taxes and management fees. Their earnings came from touring, endorsements, films, DVD sales, TV specials and paid appearances. These comedians are:
