Some traders in Kano state yesterday gathered to offer a Special prayer
"AL-Qunut" on the Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, on his
proposed demolition and renovation of the Kantin Kwari Market. The
state government plans to demolish the market and rebuild it to standard
but apparently the traders are not happy with this decision. Some of
them argue that the demolision in this recession is unwise as it would
leave them with no source of income. More photos after the cut.
