Photos: Troops rescue 38 women, 42 children from Boko Haram captivity

Following confirmed intelligence report on the convergence and massing up of dislodged Boko Haram terrorists at Garere village in Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State, with intent of carrying out attack on some isolated communities, troops on fighting and clearance patrol Codenamed “Operation TIGER CLAW” on Tuesday July 19th, swooped in on the terrorists, killing 42 of them while unconfirmed number of the other terrorists escaped with gunshot wounds.

Photos/Video: Two cops arrested & charged after CCTV footage shows them viciously beat man following chase

Two police officers have been arrested and charged with assault in New Hampshire after the vicious beating of a motorist was captured on video. Helicopter footage shows the policemen drawing their weapons, parading a police dog and also punching a man identified as Richard Simone Jr so many times, after a high-speed police chase that began in Massachusetts and ended in New Hampshire.

Obinna Igbokwe, 17-year-old son of Nigerian immigrants accepted into 7 of 8 Ivy League schools

17-year-old Brockton High School senior and son of Nigerian immigrants Obinna Igbokwe got into seven out of the eight Ivy League schools this year, his latest feat in a lifetime full of already stellar accomplishments.

He narrowed his choice down to Harvard, Princeton, or Columbia for financial reasons. He has no preference between the 3 universities, Igbokwe said just before his May 1, 2016 decision deadline.

Alleged sexual misconduct: Minister of Foreign Affairs reportedly supports legal action against the US, says allegation is weak

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, says the allegation of sexual misconduct against the three lawmakers, Samuel Ikon, Mohammed Gololo and Gbillah Mark is weak and supports legal action by the accused lawmakers. This is according to TVC's senior correspondent, Sumner Shagari Sambo. The US outgoing ambassador, James Entwistle, has failed to appear before the panel on two occasions to provide video evidence indicting the accused lawmakers. .
