How to Set up a Redirect for a Domain in your cPanel

This post will go a long way to my fans that have a website, blog or have something related to the web. Some time ago I bought a domain for my free blog in other to upgrade to get all features that dot com domain offers. But I was surprised that my adsense was no longer showing. When I looked closely, I found that it’s because I was on hosted adsense account.

Although I tried upgrading it which they refused to approve, after some time I switched back. After blogging for some months, I remembered that my dot com domain is just wasting like a dumped rag and all my new visitors that knew the dot com domain are been redirected to an error page which make me loose them gradually.

I decided to pick it up, but this time with another perspective. I decided to redirect my dot com (http://delsublog.com) domain to my existing domain (http://delsublog.blogspot.com). Now if you visit my dot com domain, it will take you to my other domain and not an error page that it used to show.

In this guide we will show you how to create a redirect in your cPanel. Just follow the step accordingly:

How to Set Up a Redirect

1. Login to cPanel.

2. Under the domains section select the Redirects icon.

3. On the next screen, fill in the boxes as needed and click the add button.

Note: You can re-direct traffic from one domain to another domain even if they are not similar. For example, domain.com and it's web traffic can be redirected to anotherdomain.com OR domain.com/aboutus.html can be redirected to anotherdomain.com/about.html

Enjoy##
