Photos: John Mikel Obi named new captain of Tianjin Teda and given No 10 jersey

Super Eagles captain, John Mikel Obi, has been handed the Number 10 jersey and captain band at his new Chinese club, Tianjin Teda by coach, Jaime Pacheco.
The former Chelsea midfielder scored his first goal in the 36th minute for the club in his team's 6-2 loss to St. Pauli over the weekend. Congrats to him!

Goalkeeper suffers horror injury after taking a boot to the head

Whitehawk suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat to Dulwich Hamlets in the FA Trophy but the biggest casualty was their goalkeeper Tom Stewart who was left with a sizeable bump after taking a boot to the head.
The referee didn't see the incident and it went unpunished much to the chagrin of Whitehawk.

27-year-old man defiles 'four' underage boys in Kano state

Aliyu Muhammad, 27, has been arrested by the Police and arraigned in court for allegedly defiling four boys.

According to the Prosecutor in charge of the case, on November 5, 2016, at about 5p.m, the accused deceived and lured two 11-year-old boys, an eight and ten year-old boy into his room. He lured them at different occasions and forcefully had carnal knowledge of each of them through their anus.

Woman sentenced to death for burning daughter alive in Pakistan

A woman in Pakistan has been sentenced to death for burning her daughter alive in what she describes as "honor killing".

Parveen Bibi told a court in Punjab that she killed her daughter "for bringing shame to her family," police spokeswoman Nabila Ghazanfar confirms to CNN. Parveen's son Ahmer Rafique was sentenced to life in prison for his role in the crime.
