School employee fired after racist Facebook post about Michelle Obama


Officials of a Georgia school district has fired one of its employees after the employee, Jane Allen, described the US first lady Michelle Obama as a gorilla on Facebook last week. Forsyth County Schools said in a statement that elementary school paraprofessional Jane Wood Allen was fired Monday. The statement reads in part:

On Sunday, October 2, at about 1.30pm, troops of 33 Brigade Nigerian Army deployed at Forward Operation Base (FOB) Ningi, on routine patrol, came across suspected kidnappers at Dutsen Makurd, Ningi Local Government Area.

"Aregbesola's visit to Fayose is embarrassing,shocking and awful" - APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola's visit to Governor Ayodele Fayose as a slight on the ruling party and contempt for its leadership in the state. Aregbesola was in Ado-Ekiti on Saturday on invitation of Fayose for the 20th Anniversary of Ekiti State. At a public forum broadcast live on the state media, Aregbesola described Fayose as "omoluabi" and a hardworking governor who had turned around the fortunes of Ekiti State in terms of infrastructure.

Dbanj & Wande Coal Reunite at Tee A’s 20th Anniversary Concert

It’s been awhile since Dbanj and Wande Coal were last seen onstage together and last night, at Tee A’s 20th anniversary concert, the former label mates took the stage to perform some of their biggest Mohits hits. Wande Coal who was performing some of his recent hits, stopped his performance to call up D'banj to join him on stage. The reunion came as a shock and a great joy to fans at the event as both artistes have been rumoured to not be on talking terms.
