Presidency redeploys Director who plagiarized Obama's speech for President Buhari

The Presidency has redeployed the Deputy Director linked to the plagiarism incident in President Buhari’s speech when he launched the “Change Begins With Me” campaign on September 8th.

The Deputy Director was discovered to have copied part of a speech by President Barack Obama of the United States into President Buhari's speech during the campaign.

Former President Obasanjo backs sale of national assets

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo yesterday backed the call for the sale of some National assets to revive the current ailing economy. Obasanjo ‎endorsed the sale of the assets at the opening ceremony of the National Council On Finance and Economic Development Conference (NACOFED) in Abeokuta yesterday September 27th.

“I do not see why 49 per cent of NNPC cannot be privatised. I think the problem is in the coinage “selling of asset” as if we want to throw out our inheritance.

Andrew Fleming, an International Election Observer is currently in Edo State for the gubernatorial election. However he was livid at a Hotel in Benin City when what he ordered and paid for wasn't what he got.

According to Fleming, he ordered a cheeseburger and was served a meatless dish (pictured). It was only after he protested that the meat was eventually given to him.

Ex-Naval Chief, three others arraigned over alleged N600m fraud

Former Chief of Naval Staff (CONS) during the last administration, Vice Admiral Usman O. Jibrin, was yesterday arraigned before a Federal High Court in Abuja over alleged N600million fraud. Jibrin was arraigned alongside Rear Admiral Bala Mshelia (rtd), Rear Admiral Shehu Ahmadu (rtd) and a firm, Habour Bay International Limited on a 4-count charge bordering on criminal conspiracy filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
