Photos: Kidnapped Kaduna teacher released by abductors

The primary school teacher kidnapped in Zaria, Kaduna State has been released. Her brother shared the happy news this morning on Facebook.
"Alhamdulillah.... Fatima (binta) Umar is free at last. she was released last night by her abductors. we are really grateful for ur prayers, support and concern. Thanks a lot." he wrote.

Man caught on CCTV drowning his stepdaughter in a hotel pool, sentenced to 100 years in prison

A man, identified only as Jose David N, was caught throwing his 3-year-old stepdaughter in a hotel swimming pool in Mexico multiple times, causing her to drown. This happened on the 12th of August 2015 while the little girl's mother was sleeping in their hotel room. Shocking surveillance footage which caused outrage in Mexico when released, showed David N throwing the girl into the water at a hotel in the city of Morelia, Michoacan in August 2015.

Recession: Anambra state governor suspends taxes and levies on wheel barrow pushers, hawkers, others

As part of efforts to cushion the harsh effects of the current economic recession, the governor of Anambra state, Willie Obiano, yesterday, announced the immediate suspension of sale of emblems, collection of wheel barrow tax and hawkers permit in all parts of the state. Governor Obiano announced this in a broadcast entitled ‘Rising from the brink,’ yesterday September 21st.

He said his administration had lowered Okada and Keke levies to N50 and N200 daily respectively to cushion the effect of the recession.

Billionaire Nigerian Businessman Aliko Dangote plans to buy Arsenal F.C. in 4 years

Aliko Dangote, Africa/Nigeria’s richest man, has clearly re-stated his plans to buy London-based professional football club 'Arsenal' , in four years time. In an interview with Bloomberg TV in New York on Wednesday, Dangote stated that there’s no doubt he’ll buy Arsenal and it’s not a problem of money.
“Maybe three to four years. The issue is that we have more challenging headwinds. I need to get those out the way first and start having tailwinds. Then I’ll focus on this.”
