Multi-Billion Election Bribe: Ex-Rivers REC, 99 Others for Trial

About 100 officials of INEC are to face trial for indictment in the N23.29bn bribe during the 2015 elections. They will face internal disciplinary action before being handed over to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for prosecution.

EFCC Chairman Ibrahim Magu and INEC Chairman Mahmood Yakubu are to meet on the interim report on the scandal.

The report indicts two Resident Electoral Commissioners – Gesil Khan, Mr. Slyvester Ezeani – 16 directors and 82 others.

Some of those indicted have refunded money and others have their assets confiscated by EFCC.

LOL! Bad Guy Steals Again From Female Police Offier During His Interrogation

This guy is a confirmed badoo! 28-year-old Deji Ayoola, who was arrested by the police in Lagos for theft, has allegedly stolen money from the policewoman interrogating him.

It was learnt that Ayoola was being interrogated at the Rapid Response Squad office in Alausa, Ikeja, on Saturday, when he allegedly stole N1,200, which fell from the policewoman’s pocket.

Fayose Says President Buhari Is Nigeria's Major Problem

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has again criticized President Muhammadu Buhari over the country’s economic recession, describing him as the “major problem of Nigeria.”

Fayose cried out that, “Our President, through his actions and inactions is destroying everything that makes Nigeria a country and well-meaning Nigerians must stand-up to be counted in the crusade to save the country from going under.”

Buhari, Osinbajo, Saraki, Dogara, others earn N9.18bn yearly

Twelve months after the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission pledged to give the nation reviewed salaries and allowances for political office holders, key government officials still cart home about N9.18bn annually in salaries and allowances.

Investigation show that while RMAFC had completed work on the review of the emoluments of political office holders since November 2015, the new emoluments have not seen the light of the day due to the politics involved in the process. They are still collecting fat salaries.
