Photos: Borno State First Lady hosts 200 children from IDP camps and orphanages to a Sallah party

The wife of the Borno state Governor, Hajiya Nana Kashim Shettima has organised a Sallah get-together for 200 children who are selected from various IDP camps and orphanages in the state.

 

At the event which took place at the multi-purpose Hall of the Government House Maiduguri, Mrs Shettima charged the children to go to school and also to give due respect to their teachers and elders.

Photos: Keke driver and policeman engage in scuffle over an accident in Akwa Ibom

A Keke driver and a police officer, yesterday, engaged in a scuffle along Oron road, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State following an accident blamed on the cop.

According to eyewitness report, the policeman jumped into the Keke,while dragging the steering with driver, the vehicle somersaulted leaving the passengers seriously injured and bleeding. More photos after the cut.

Diezani forfeits N4.8b Abuja houses to Federal government

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have reportedly seized some houses in Abuja worth N4.8 billion allegedly belonging to former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Dieziani Alison-Madueke. According to the Nation, one of the mansion's seized is worth N3.58 billion.

Meanwhile operatives of the antigraft agency are said to have been deployed to Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, to investigate the ownership of five choice houses believed to be owned by Alison-Madueke’s.  The properties under surveillance in Port Harcourt  are said to be worth over N3billion.

Photo: Ogun state police arrest 50 year old for raping 13 year old girl

The Ogun state police command has arrested 50 year old Joseph Sunday (above), for allegedly raping a 13 year old girl in Ilaro town of the state. Joseph is alleged to have ambushed his victim at the stream where she was fetching water, dragged her to an uncompleted building in Abule Taju area of the town where he defiled her.
