Photos: Police allegedly opens fire at man's car in Abuja in a case of mistaken identity

A man named Tiemo B Pumokumo is alleging that the Nigerian Police sprayed his car with bullets while he on my way from Abuja, and it was a case of mistaken identity as they were targeting robbers. He shared these photos via his Facebook page and wrote:
"The Nigerian Police just opened fire on my car on my way from Abuja. Bullets back and front..God pass dem.. Their excuse is they got information armed robbers where coming from my direction and decided to open fire on the first car coming."

Police arrest late Abubakar Audu’s son, family members in Kogi

The Police in Kogi state have arrested the son of late Kogi state governor, Abubakar Audu, Mohammed and about 15 other members of the late governor's family. According to the former governor's younger brother, Mustapha, Mohammed and other family members were arrested today and are being detained at the Lokoja Police Division.

Eid-el-Kabir: FG declares Monday Sept 12 & Tuesday Sept 13 as public holidays

The Federal Government has declared Monday Sept. 12 and Tuesday Sept.13 as public holidays to mark Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.

In a statement signed by the acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Interior, M. Maccido, Minister of Interior, Retired Lt Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau, made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government and wished all Nigerians, a happy Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
