The murder trial of the new Miss Lang'ata Women's Prison who stabbed boyfriend 22 times, resumes

The murder trial of the newly crowned Miss Langata Prison 2016, Ruth Kamande, resumed on Tuesday, September 6th before Justice Jessie Lessit. See previous post here.
22-year-old Ms Kamande, who has been in remand for nearly a year, allegedly stabbed her boyfriend Fareed Mohammed to death on September 19, 2015 in Buruburu estate, Nairobi after she discovered love letters from his ex-lovers. She has since denied stabbing him 22 times.

Wanted Nigerian journalist, Ahmad Salkida, reportedly released from DSS custody

Ahmad Salkida, a Nigerian journalist known for his access to Boko Haram commanders, was declared wanted in August 2016 by the Nigerian Army in connection with the abducted Chibok girls by terrorist group Boko haram. Salkida, who was on exile in the UAE, was arrested by members of the security forces as he arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, two days ago. He has now been released.

A 31 year old Muslim street preacher named Krissoni Henderson,, allegedly chanted pro-ISIS slogans at terrified student Noor Alneaimi, 38 calling her a prostitute and slut for wearing tight jeans and promised to follow her home and blow her up, a court in Birmingham heard on Monday.

Police man who fatally shot an Okada Rider in Ondo state, arrested, to face murder charges in court

A Police man who shot dead a motorcyclist in Ondo state over an alleged N50 bribe, has been arrested. On Sunday morning Sept. 4th, a source revealed that a police officer in Ondo State shot dead a commercial motorcyclist at Omifun on the Benin-Ore Expressway in the state. There was an allegation that the bribe-seeking police officer attached to the anti-crime patrol unit of the Ondo State Police Command shot man for allegedly refusing to give him a bribe of N50,  and immediately fled the scene with his colleagues. (Read here ) The said Inspector has since been arrested and his service riffle recovered.
