US man found dead in his hotel room in Lekki, Lagos

A 57 year old American man, Charles Carlson, has been found dead in his hotel room, Ellyx Ville hotel, situated in Lekki Phase one, Lagos Tuesday September 6th. ‎ The Nation reports that Carlson's body was found beside a rope at about 5:30pm.

16 year old newly married girl dies in building collapse in Lagos

A makeshift building located at Kuata Area by Amara Olu Street, Mechanic Village, Agidingbi, Ikeja, collapsed Tuesday, and killed a 16-year-old girl named Faizan Muritala who only got married to her husband Mohammed 10 days ago. ‎ The collapse of the building was attributed to a mudslide.  This incident occurred less than 24 hours after a mosque situated at 3, Adepitan Street, off Ramat Crescent, Ojudu, partially collapsed.

World's first face transplant patient dies at age 49

The French woman who received the world's first partial face transplant after her pet Labrador attacked her and disfigured has died at the age of 49. The mother of 2 had the surgery in 2005 by doctors Bernard Devauchelle and Jean-Michel Dubernard and died 11 years after the surgery that set the stage for dozens of other transplants all around the world.
