Man repeatedly vandalizes grave of acquaintance due to a 56 year old grudge

It's often said that forgiveness frees the soul, but this doesn't apparently apply to 69 year old, Paul E. Donovan Jr., from Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. Donovan has repeatedly vandalized the grave of the man he claims stole $300 from him over 50 years ago. The defacing of the headstone began in the spring of 2014 and involved the use of spray paint, though he did once cover the marker with a dark, tar-like substance.

Lagos state Gov encourages Lagosians to make use of the pedestrian bridge at Berger bus-stop rather than crossing the express

The Lagos State Gov has completed the building of the pedestrian bridge at Berger bus-stop along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway. The Gov said:

"The pedestrian bridge at Berger bus-stop along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway has been completed and is now open for use. We encourage Lagosians to make use of this pedestrian bridge rather than crossing the express. #ItesiwajuEko" More photos after the cut...

Photographer Calvin Taylor Lee, 39, from Sheffield, South Yorks took these amazing closeup pics of wildlife at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park, South Yorkshire.

Calvin who didn't disclose how he managed to capture such remarkably close shots said of the pics:

“I wanted to take these photos to show the magnificent natural beauty of these animals. I like how all their expressions are different, and you’re not always able to capture their emotions. Some of them are really difficult to read. It’s like a challenge, but they are all very strong and powerful. The one of the lion is my favourite - it looks so powerful.”

U.S. donates an additional $37 million to assist Northeast Nigeria

Following a trip to Maiduguri at the center of the Boko Haram insurgency this week, USAID’s Office for Foreign Disaster Assistance Director Jeremy Konyndyk announced $37 million in new funding to support additional humanitarian assistance for people affected by the conflict and severe food insecurity in Nigeria and throughout the Lake Chad Basin.
