Oil marketers plan to increase fuel price due to dollar shortage

Major oil marketers in Nigeria are considering increasing the pump price of petrol following the lingering scarcity of dollars and high exchange rate. According to the marketers, the exchange rate which went to as high as N400 to $1 last week, is seriously affecting them as they cannot continue to import fuel at such rate and sell at the Federal government stipulated price of N145 per liter. Many of them say if the N400 to $1 persists, they will be forced to increase the pump price.

Alleged budget padding: EFCC extends investigation to Senate

As the alleged budget padding saga in the House of Representatives continues, EFCC operatives has extended its investigation to the Senate's committee on Appropriation. A member of the House of Representatives,  Abdulmumin Jibrin who was last month sacked as Chairman, House Committee on Appropriation, had petitioned the antigraft agency over allegations of budget padding.

Drake books entire Aquarium for Rihanna?

According to reports, Drake rented out an entire aquarium for dinner with Rihanna following last weeks OVO Music fest. The report claims this happened on Sunday night in Toronto, and that Drake booked out the entire Ripley's Aquarium after midnight and had them set up a fancy dinner right in front of the glass.

The couple, whose romance have been heating up in the last few weeks, were said to have stayed until just before dawn.

A Google account manager, 27 year old Vanessa Marcotte's dead body was found naked and burnt in a wooded area of Massachusetts, US, on Sunday night August 7th near her mum's house in Princeton after she went jogging.
