Militants threaten to declare Niger Delta Republic today, military on high alert

Ijaw Militant group, the Adaka Boro Avengers (ABA), have threatened to declare the independent Republic of Niger Delta today August 1st. The group in a statement released last week, said after holding consultation with other militant groups in the region, they have concluded arrangements to declare the Niger Delta region as an independent republic from today August 1.

The Ogun Police Command has arrested two notorious members of a deadly cult group terrorizing residents of Ago Iwoye and environs
The suspects identified as Omotola Amuda, 18 and  Adesegun Mayowa, 20, were apprehended at Ago-Iwoye town in Ijebu-North Local Government Area of the state by officers on routine patrol. A bag containing locally made guns and cartridges was found in their possession.

Nigerian Comedian claims he was denied entry by Cambodian Airport officials for refusing to pay $1,000 bribe

A Nigerian comedian, Idisi Akpobome says was denied entry to Cambodia on Saturday, July 30 after refusing to pay a $1,000 bribe to immigration officials at Phnom Penh International Airport.
A senior immigration official confirmed Mr. Akpobome, who was scheduled to perform in Phnom Penh over the weekend, was sent back to Kuala Lumpur on Saturday morning but denied that airport staff asked for a bribe;

Motorcylist who broke his back, lost his leg and arm becomes a bodybuilder (photos)

A motor cyclist, Jay Vincent, who broke his back, lost his right leg and suffered debilitating injuries to his right arm and shoulder after smashing his 90 mph motorbike into a telegraph pole 7 years ago, has started a successful new career as a bodybuilder.

Jay was just 17 years as at the time of the devastating accident. He spent three weeks in a coma, a further three months in intensive care and left the hospital six months later feeling weak and weighing only seven stone.
