14 year old girl slits her brother's girlfriend's throat and tells her 'Have a nice afterlife'

A 14 year old teenager, Kali Jade Bookey from New Richmond, Wisconsin, was charged as an adult by police on 28 July with attempted first-degree intentional homicide and if convicted, she could be jailed for up to 40 years.
According to police documents, Bookey attacked her brother's girlfriend, in the girl's bedroom, by first trying to suffocate her. She is then alleged to have smashed two bowls on the victim's head, and finally cut her throat with a shard from one of the bowls.

5 of the 13 inmates that escaped during the Kogi jailbreak on Satuday have been rearrested

5 of the inmates who escaped during the jailbreak at the Koton Karfe prison in Kogi state on Saturday July 29th have been arrested. The jailbreak occurred at about 7am. The arrest of the inmates was disclosed in a statement by the Director of Press, Ministry of Interior, Willie Bassey.

Billionaire Bernie Ecclestone's mother-in-law freed without ransom

The mother-in-law of Formula One tycoon Bernie Ecclestone, Aparecida Schunck, who was kidnapped from her Sao Paulo, Brazil home 10 days ago by robbers who posed as delivery men, has been freed without any ransom paid.

According to Sao Paulo police, although a ransom of $36.5m (£28m) was demanded, none was paid. The anti-kidnapping division of the Sao Paulo police reportedly stormed the building where she was being held and rescued her. Two suspects were arrested and the victim was not injured.
