Photo: Two children who went missing in Lagos have been found

Amarachi Amaechi (12yrs) and Roseline Ugo (9yrs) who left their home in Omole Estate on Wednesday 27th July and did not return, have been found. According to Family sources, Amarachi had been acting badly at home and in a bid to get her to change her ways, her family threatened to send her to the East where her mother stays.

Amarachi did not like the idea and so she decided to run away from home with her cousin Roseline. Both of them were found at Valley estate in Lagos yesterday July 28th.

Nigeria's 4x400m women's relay team banned from Rio 2016

The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) has banned Nigeria's 4x400m women's relay team from attending the 2016 Olympic Games holding in Rio, Brazil, next month.

According to IAAF, the Nigerian team was banned because one of them, Tosin Adeloye, tested positive to drugs during the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) Super Grand Prix/Warri Relays in Warri, Delta State on July 24th last year.

'Dogara has ordered all computers in Appropriation Office to be removed and taken to his office'- sacked appropriation chair says

The embattled former Chairman of the House of Representatives Appropriation committee, Abdulmumin Jibrin, has alleged that the speaker of the House, Yakubu Dogara, has ordered that all the computers in the Appropriation Secretariat be removed. Read a new statement from him below
"Speaker Dogara has ordered that all the computers in the appropriation secretariat be shut down and moved to his office as if that is the answer to the allegations I raised. The secretariat staff are being harassed to keep quite and suppress facts. There has also been an attempt to break into my office at the House.

FG moves to investigate alleged budget padding by House of Reps members

The Federal government is set to begin investigations into the allegations of budget padding leveled against the House Speaker Yakubu Dogara and three others by sacked Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin.

Jibrin who was replaced by Dogara on July 20th, has released several statements accusing Dogara, Deputy Speaker Yusuf Lasun, Chief Whip Alhassan Doguwa and Minority Leader Leo Ogor; of introducing over N400 billion fictitious constituency projects into the 2016 budget.

Environmental sanitation to hold in Lagos tomorrow


Lagos state government has said the monthly environmental sanitation in the state will hold tomorrow July 30th. The Commissioner for the Environment, Babatunde Adejare, in a press statement, urged all residents in the state to come out and clean their environment between the stipulated hours of 7:00am-10.00am.
