Billionaire & Formula One chief Bernie Ecclestone's mother-in-law 'kidnapped in Brazil by criminals demanding £28m'

The mother-in-law of Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone, has reportedly been kidnapped in Brazil by criminals demanding 120 million reais (£27.8 million) in ransom.

Aparecida Schunck, the mother of Ecclestone's wife, Fabiana Flosi, was captured in Sao Paulo on Friday night, according to Brazilian news magazine, Veja.

Malawi Govt arrests HIV positive Malawian man paid $4 to $7 to have unprotected sex with underaged girls

BBC recently shared a special report featuring a middle aged HIV positive Malawian man, Eric Avina, whose responsibility is to conduct "sexual cleansing" for underaged and also matured women in Nsanje district in southern Malawi.  Avina in his community is referred to as Hyena, a traditional title given to a man hired by communities in several remote parts of southern Malawi to provide what's called sexual "cleansing". Teenage girls, after their first menstruation, are made to have sex over a three-day period with Avina to mark their passage from childhood to womanhood. Alvina has now been arrested.

Journalist Jaafar Jaafar reacts to FG canceling Kano film village after clerics claim it would promote immorality

The Federal Government recently stopped plans to build a world-class and ulta-modern film village in Kano following criticisms made by Muslim clerics who say it will promote immorality. Nigeria's government had set aside N3billion for the construction of the Muhammadu Buhari film village at Kofa in Bebeji local government area of Kano State, that will provide over 10,000 jobs to Nigerian citizens and also increase revenue generation to Kano state in particular and the nation in general. This was however shelved when clerics in the state criticized the plan. Journalist/London School of Public Relations graduate, Jaafar Jaafar shared a think piece in reaction to the cancellation. Photo: Two children accidentally switched at birth three years ago return to their biological parents

Two children who were accidentally switched at birth three years ago were returned to their parents in the southern province of Binh Phuoc, Vietnam on Monday, July 25.

The hospital responsible for the mistake is now facing possibilities of a lawsuit as it  mistake caused serious consequences. The hospital would offer each family VND20 million (US$890) and cover fees for previous DNA tests. But both families have rejected the offer, without specifying their demand. Hoang Van Thanh, director of Binh Long Town General Hospital, have apologized to the two families.
