The Katsina state police command have arrested 15 year old Wosila Halilu, her mother, Faiza Umar, 30, and three stepbrothers Muhammad Bello, 45; Musa Bello, 35; Umar Bello, 27, for feeding her one-day old baby which she conceived after she was raped, to their family dog at Saika village in Batsari Local Government Area in the state.
According to Police investigations, Wosilat claimed she was raped by a 27 year old farmer identified as Musa Garba last year. Out of shame that she will be having a child out of wedlock, she and her family members agreed she will get rid of the child once she delivers. When she delivered, they fed her day old baby to their family dog.
