Some residents of Kaduna state on Tuesday took to the streets to rally against religious extremism. They called on authorities to prosecute members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, for allegedly attacking Nigerian soldiers and people of Kaduna state. More photos after the cut.

Kansas Police Chief shot and killed after chasing suspects following a drive-by shooting

A police officer in Kansas City, Kansas, was killed on Tuesday afternoon after pursuing suspects allegedly involved in a drive-by shooting. Identified as Captain Robert Melton, 46, it was also revealed that he had been with the Police department for 17 years.

According to reports, someone called  911 at around 1:30 p.m to say multiple people were firing at them from a car and Neighbors in the area confirmed that they heard 15 to 20 shots. When Melton arrived and pursued the car in a chase, the suspects bailed from the vehicle and opened fire, striking Melton.

'Men can cheat because we bought the wedding ring & we own you' Ghanaian comedian Derrick K. Bonney

In an interview with lifestyle and entertainment programme - Rhythm A to Z of Ghanaian radio station, Joy FM 99.7, Derrick Kobina Bonney, referred to as the 'King of Ghanaian comedy', said men can cheat on their wives since they bought the wedding ring.

"I keep telling the young girls, when your man cheats, you leave him to God. That was what our mothers and grandmothers did. He will later humble himself before the Lord. You don't payback. Men can cheat because we bought the wedding ring and we organised the wedding and you bear our surname. Even the word bride means a cook.

NFF clarifies situation after Paul le Guen rejects contract terms & decides not to work with Super Eagles

The NFF has moved to clarify the situation surrounding the coaching set up of the Super Eagles after Paul Le Guen rejected contractual terms of the NFF and will hence not work as Super Eagles new Technical adviser despite the NFF's official announcement on Monday.
