Lebanese jailed for 6 months over drug trafficking
A Lebanese drug trafficker identified as Charbel Chalouhi has been handed a 6-months jail sentence for unlawful dealing in 1.2 grams of cocaine.

The suspect was arrested at his residence at 18, flat BB Simon Akinolu Street in Victoria Island on September 10, 2018, on charges of drug trafficking and was arraigned before the Federal High Court in Lagos by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

Charbel Chalouhi who first pleaded 'not guilty' to the lone charge of drug trafficking, changed his plea following a plea bargain agreement reached with the prosecuting agency.

The convict who was sentenced to 6 months in prison was given an option of N200, 000 fine. Justice Oweibo ordered that the international passport of the convict be released to him upon observing the court judgment.
