A member of the Nigerian senate, Senator Ali Wakili, has died at the age of 58. Family sources say the senator who represents Bauchi South in the Senate, slumped at his Gwarimpa residence, Abuja on Saturday morning March 17th, and was rushed to Viewpoint Hospital, where he was certified dead.
His funeral prayer would be held at the National Mosque, Abuja at 1:30pm, after which, his remains will be laid to rest.
DAILY NIGERIAN gathered that the lawmaker also planned to visit Yola, Adamawa state.
He even called his driver to get himself ready and take him to the airport before slumping at his Gwarimpa residence on Saturday.
Mr Wakili, a vibrant lawmaker, was the Chairman Senate Committee on Poverty Alleviation.
