Will Yahya Jammeh's political exile serve as a warning to stubborn African leaders?

After weeks of Political crisis and on the verge of military action, Gambia's ex-president, Yahya Jammeh accepted to step down for his successor, President Adama Barrow.
He has since been flown to Equatorial Guinea on political exile. Question is, was it really worth the struggle? Would greedy African leaders rather go down a path of shame rather than relinquish power at the right time? Tell us your thoughts.
