UFC becomes the largest franchise sale in sports history after selling itself for $4billion

UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) President Dana White on Monday morning, said that the mixed martial arts promotional company (UFC) has been sold for approximately $4 billion to a group of investors led by Hollywood talent agency WME-IMG. The sale will make it the largest in Sporting history for any Sports Franchise. White confirmed the sale in text messages to The Associated Press on Sunday night.

Police arrested man who posted the video of Alton Sterling's shooting

Chris LeDay wasn't the one who filmed the Alton Sterling shoot, but he was one who made the video go viral. He was one of the first people to post it on social media. He spread it on his IG page, Twitter and Facebook pages and it was from his page other media houses took the video and spread it.

Six suspected Boko Haram members arrested in Lagos

Six suspected members of terrorist group, Boko Haram, were arrested by members of a civilian joint task force in Lagos over the weekend. Six suspects arrested over the murder of a female preacher in Abuja

Mother of seven, Deaconess Eunice Olawale, was butchered to death by some unidentified persons while preaching in the morning at Gbazango community in Kubwa, Abuja in the early hours of July 9th. (Read story here)

Information on him (from a prayer book in his possession) suggests a possible link to Umuahia, Abia State, and a Joseph Dominic. Some good Samaritans rushed him to Enugu State University Teaching Hospital (ESUTH, Parklane) and then Mother of Christ Missionary Hospital, Enugu, for treatment and are looking to find a relative of his.

Police arrest at least 40 people protesting Alton Sterling's death in Baton Rouge (photos)

Last night, heavily armed Police officers in Baton Rouge, Louisiana arrested about 40 people during tense clashes with chanting protesters decrying the police-involved death of Alton Sterling. Majority of the arrests took place at Government St. near Interstate 110 after neighbors said scores of protesters refused to budge from the roadway and front yards along East Blvd for at least two hours.
