Pres Buhari is the captain of Nigerian ship and he knows where he is going- Femi Adesina

Special Adviser to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, says Nigerians should be at peace regarding the leadership style of President Buhari as he is the captain of the Nigerian ship and he knows where he is going. Adesina said this when spoke as guest on TV programme, Seriously Speaking.

“ If you have your doubts about the captain of your ship and you run into a storm, you begin to panic. But if you know that this captain is tested, he is seasoned, and he will not abandon the ship, then you will stay with him. I will like to tell Nigerians that the captain of our ship, the president is somebody who knows where he is going. He knows where he is steering the ship to. It may be tempestuous for now but we will get to a safe harbour.”he said

Asked if President Buhari, at 73,  is not too old to lead Nigeria, Femi Adesina said.

"At 73, you are not exactly a young man but Tunisia elected an 88 year old man last year. He is leading the country. As long as a man is sound mentally, physically, sound spiritually, he can be president. Our constitution did not prescribe an upper limit as to who can be president".
