Man holds Amazon drivers hostage even after police arrived until they delivered his purchase

A 44-year-old man named Dean Smith purchased a mattress from Amazon and arrived home to see the delivery van driving off after he missed the delivery time. The man was said to have gone after the van and asked the men to re-deliver the mattress, however, they refused, stating that the purchase had been logged as a missed delivery and would have to be returned to the warehouse.

Mr. Smith had gotten upset and seized the key of the van. He refused to give them back even after a female police officer came and asked him to return the key to the driver. The police officer eventually relented and asked the Amazon drivers to deliver the mattress to the shopper. Smith said the officer threatened to arrest him, but he was prepared to go down fighting.

After his purchase was released to him, the shopper was pleased with the result of his action, stating that he was fighting for the common people.
