Photos: Protest in Akure as INEC recognizes Jimoh Ibrahim as Ondo state PDP governorship candidate

Aggrieved members of PDP in Ondo state are currently staging a protest in the state capital, Akure, following INEC's decision to recognize billionaire businessman, Jimoh Ibrahim, as the PDP candidate in the November 26th governorship election in the state.

Jimoh Ibrahim who belongs to the camp of the Factional PDP leader, Ali Modu Sheriff, was yesterday recognized by the electoral body over Ahmed Makarfi-faction's candidate, Eyitayo Jegede.


INEC is yet to give reasons for choosing Jimoh over Jegede who until yesterday, was displayed on PDP's official website as the party's governorship candidate.
