Basketball legend Scottie Pippen files for divorce from wife of 19 years

Basketball legend Scottie Pippen, 51, has filed for divorce from his wife Larsa Pippen, 42, after 19 years of marriage. Read the TMZ report below...

It's over for Scottie and Larsa Pippen -- the NBA Hall of Famer has filed for divorce from the 'Real Housewives of Miami' star ... TMZ Sports has learned. Scottie filed divorce docs in Florida earlier this week seeking to end the marriage, this according to court documents. The two have been married since 1997 and have 4 kids together.

Unclear what happened ... they were just seen together at NY Fashion Week in September where their 7-year-old daughter, Sophia, was modeling in a fashion show. At the time, both Scottie and Larsa were wearing their wedding rings

Larsa Pippen has issued a statement through her rep saying:
 "After careful consideration and 19 years together, Larsa and Scottie have each filed for dissolution of their marriage."
"Although they are no longer to be married, Larsa remains hopeful that she and Scottie will always do what is best for their 4 beautiful children and jointly raise them with love and respect."
"She would like to thank everyone for their understanding and kindly ask for privacy from the media during this difficult time of transition for her family."
