Heartbroken dog dies after being hit by car in spot where she had waited for a year for owner to return (photos)

Loung, a loyal three-year-old Thai breed dog died after he was hit by a car in a spot where she had waited for 12 months for her owner to come back after falling from a vehicle in 2015.

Loung was fed daily by locals as she faithfully waited on the side of the road for her owner to come pick her up.

After her death, a dog-lovers club in the province Chanthaburi, eastern Thailand, decided to host a burial for her.

Pictures of the dog has gone viral on Facebook with some people claiming to be her owner, but when they approach her to pick her up, she runs to a nearby orchard for cover.
