Waitress receives receipt with racial message - 'we only tip citizens'

A customer at a restaurant in Virginia left a latina waitress a rude and racist message instead of a tip. He wrote "We only tip citizens' in the receipt given back to the waitress, 28 year old Sadie Karina and this happened at at Jess' Quick Lunch in downtown Harrisburg on Monday August 15th. A shocked Sadie kept the receipt, took it home, showed it to her grand father who took it public to shame the customer...  

According to WHSV, Karina is an American of mixed Mexican and Honduran descent, and says she rarely encountered direct racism in Harrisburg. But she said this particular customer and his female partner gave off an odd vibe when she served them their gyros and drinks. 

'They wouldn't talk to me,' she said. 'They would just nod their heads.' 

It wasn't until she read the note at the bottom of the $26.11 receipt that she realized they were very racist.

'It shouldn't even matter, I just feel like it's rude and disrespectful,' she said. 'I've never met, I've never done anything to them.'
