I’m part of a 27-woman kidnapping syndicate from Benin Republic - suspected child kidnapper confesses

The woman who was apprehended and tortured by a mob while she was trying to kidnap a child at Kembiri Road at Okokomaiko, Lagos state yesterday July 11th (read here), has confessed to being a member of a 27-woman kidnapping syndicate from Benin republic.

After she was tortured, the woman while confessing said “We were 27 women that came as a syndicate from Benin Republic. Each woman was given five phones to contact their buyers once the targets, mainly little children, were found. We then discard the phone after transactions to avoid been traced. The abduction is for outright sale, not for a ransom.”

The Lagos state police spokesperson, Dolapo Badmus, says the case has been transferred to CID Panti, Lagos.
