FG Declares 8th And 9th August As Public Holidays For the Celebration of Eid-ul-fitr




The Nigeria Government has declared Thursday and Friday of this week as Public Holidays to celebrate the 2013 Muslim Eid-el- Fitri Festival.

The Eid-el-Fitri Festival is usually observed every year by Muslims all over the world to mark the end of the Holy month of Ramadan.

The Minister of Interior has enjoined all Muslim faithful and Nigerians in general to extend the spiritual benefits of Ramadan, which are love, peace, and joy to their daily living and to contribute to the development of the nation. While wishing Nigerians a peaceful celebration Mr. Moro also urged Nigerians to use the opportunity of the holiday to reflect on the imperative of peace in Nation.
